On November 28th in Ho Chi Minh City, MMVN and MATRADE organized the 1st event “Taste of Malaysia” with the participation of Mr. Firdauz Othman - Consul General of Malaysia in Ho Chi Minh City, along with Assistant Trade Commissioner, Mr. Mohd Firdaus Mohammad from the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (“MATRADE”) Ho Chi Minh and the Malaysian Business Chamber in Vietnam.
The “Taste of Malaysia” is the first event of MMVN’s annual initiatives which allows to showcase the unique culinary traditions of Malaysia to Vietnam’s market. According to MMVN, the “Taste of Malaysia” is organized with the expect of providing Vietnamese consumers with a diverse range of nutritious and high-quality food options.
Sharing at the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Firdauz Bin Othman - Consul General - Consulate General of Malaysia in Ho Chi Minh City said
“The event today is not just promoting the Malaysia’s products, but also promoting the cultural exchange, mutual understanding and the spirit of collaboration for both Vietnam and Malaysia. The event will be held at 11 MMVN stores across Vietnam from November 28 to December 11, including MM An Phu, MM Binh Phu, MM Hiep Phu, MM Thang Long, MM Hung Loi, MM Da Nang, MM Hong Bang, MM Bien Hoa, MM Long Xuyen, MM Rach Gia, and MM Ha Dong.
During this period, MMVN will feature hundreds of premium Malaysian culinary products such as lobster balls, fish tofu, herring in tomato sauce, bean curd in tomato sauce, milk tea, chocolate, and soft drinks.
Additionally, customers can enjoy discounts of up to 27% on selected imported products. This festival provides a unique opportunity to explore the rich flavors of Malaysian cuisine while enjoying attractive shopping benefits.
